Day 1: East Bank Exploration

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel between 04:00 AM or 14:00 after your lunch time. Travel in comfort aboard a private, air-conditioned vehicle along a scenic desert road. A short rest stop after two hours allows you to stretch your legs before continuing to Kena. The drive through the lush, vibrant Nile Valley offers a glimpse into daily Egyptian life, a stark contrast to the desert landscape.

Arrive in Luxor around 10:00 AM and begin your historical exploration at the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious building in the world. Walk through the famous Hypostyle Hall, marveling at its colossal columns, and see the sacred lake. Next, visit the centrally located Luxor Temple, with its impressive avenues of sphinxes and the remarkable Abu El Hagag Mosque nestled within its walls.

Following your temple visits, enjoy a serene motorboat cruise on the Nile, offering breathtaking views of Luxor from the water. Lunch will be a culinary delight at a local Egyptian restaurant, where you can savor authentic dishes.

The afternoon is reserved for you to check into your hotel, allowing time to relax and recharge. In the evening, you have the option to enhance your experience with the captivating Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple (optional, booked locally). The show tells the history of ancient Thebes in a mesmerizing display of light and sound.

The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 2: West Bank Wonders

After breakfast at your hotel, we will cross to the West Bank of the Nile, the legendary necropolis of ancient Thebes. Our first stop is the Valley of the Kings, the burial ground of pharaohs from the New Kingdom, including the famed tomb of Tutankhamun. Explore the intricate details and vibrant art within the royal tombs.

Next, we will visit the unique terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a stunning example of New Kingdom architecture dedicated to one of history’s most powerful female rulers. Finally, witness the monumental Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

Lunch will be a relaxing break at a local restaurant on the West Bank before we begin our journey back to Hurghada. The return trip offers a final opportunity to unwind and enjoy the changing scenery along the Nile. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Hurghada around 6:00 PM, concluding your unforgettable 2-day private tour of Luxor.
