The 2-Day Desert & History Explorer: Luxor’s Ultimate Adventure

Day 1: Ancient Tombs & Sunset Safari

Your adventure begins at 07:00 with a hotel or Nile Cruise pickup, followed by a transfer to the West Bank, the heart of the ancient Egyptian afterlife. We immediately dive into history at the Valley of the Kings, exploring the vibrant tombs of the Pharaohs (your guide will help you choose the best three with your standard ticket). Next, we visit the striking, terraced Temple of Hatshepsut and make a quick stop for photos at the massive Colossi of Memnon.

Around midday, an Included Lunch is served before we leave the historical trail behind. At 14:00, the excitement begins as you transfer to a rugged 4×4 vehicle and embark on your Jeep Safari. We drive into the mountainous terrain of the Western Desert area (a safe, legal distance from the strictly protected Valley of the Kings tombs), where you can enjoy thrilling dune driving and light hiking to explore the unique rock formations.

As evening approaches, we set up camp at our designated desert spot. The day concludes with an Included Traditional Barbecue Dinner cooked over an open fire, followed by an evening of serene stargazing under the spectacularly clear desert sky. You will then settle in for an unforgettable night of Desert Camping in Tents.

Day 2: Desert Sunrise & East Bank Grandeur

The morning starts with a tranquil Desert Sunrise at 06:00, followed by an Included Fresh Breakfast at the campsite.

At 07:30, we bid farewell to the desert, driving the 4×4 back to the East Bank where we switch to an air-conditioned vehicle to explore the magnificent East Bank temples. From 09:00, we dedicate time to the colossal Karnak Temple Complex, exploring the largest religious structure in the world, including the massive Hypostyle Hall. This is followed by a visit to the beautifully situated Luxor Temple in the heart of the city.

The Trip Conclusion is around 14:00, when you will be transferred back to your hotel, the train station, or the airport.
