🛳 Itinerary Summary:
Day 1: Arrival & Tour in Luxor
Arrival: You will be met at the Luxor airport or railway station by a representative and transferred to your 5-star Nile cruise boat.
Check-in & Lunch: Board the cruise and enjoy your first meal on board.
East Bank Tour: In the afternoon, your guide will take you to visit the colossal Karnak Temple Complex. This is the largest religious building ever constructed and was a vital part of ancient Thebes. You will then proceed to Luxor Temple, built during the New Kingdom and beautifully illuminated in the evenings.
Evening: Return to the cruise boat for dinner and your first overnight stay in Luxor.
Day 2: Luxor West Bank & Sailing
Morning Tour: After breakfast, you will be taken to the West Bank of the Nile, known as the “City of the Dead.” Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, the burial ground for many of Egypt’s most famous pharaohs.
Temple of Hatshepsut: Next, you will visit the unique terraced Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, a testament to the power of Egypt’s only female pharaoh.
Colossi of Memnon: The tour concludes on the West Bank with a photo stop at the massive Colossi of Memnon, two enormous stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
Sailing: Return to the cruise for lunch. The ship will then begin its journey south, sailing towards Edfu. You can relax on the sun deck and enjoy the serene scenery of the Nile. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Edfu.
Day 3: Edfu, Kom Ombo & Sailing
Edfu Tour: After breakfast, you will explore the well-preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu. This Ptolemaic-era temple is considered one of the most complete ancient temples in Egypt.
Kom Ombo Tour: The cruise will then sail to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique “double temple” dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus.
Sailing: After the visit, the boat will continue sailing to Aswan. Enjoy the evening and dinner on board as you cruise along the Nile. Overnight stay in Aswan.
Day 4: Aswan Tours
Morning Tour: Today is dedicated to exploring the highlights of Aswan. Your first stop is the Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering feat that has been crucial for Egypt’s agriculture and power.
Unfinished Obelisk: You will then visit the ancient quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, which provides a fascinating glimpse into the stone-cutting techniques of the ancient Egyptians.
Philae Temple: The final tour of the day is a visit to the stunning Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple was moved piece-by-piece to its current location on Agilkia Island to save it from the flooding caused by the Aswan Dam.
Evening: Return to the cruise boat for a relaxing evening and dinner. Overnight stay in Aswan.
Day 5: Abu Simbel & Disembarkation
Early Morning Trip: This is the most anticipated part of the trip for many. You will be picked up very early in the morning (around 4:30 AM) with your luggage for a shared bus trip to the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples.
Abu Simbel Visit: Arrive and explore the colossal rock-cut temples built by Ramses II. The Great Temple is dedicated to the pharaoh himself, and the Small Temple is dedicated to his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.
Departure: After visiting Abu Simbel, you will be transferred back to Aswan and dropped off at the airport, railway station, or your hotel, marking the end of your trip.
